July 9 2008: Nestled above 8000 ft sea level you will find Utopia. This little gem is incredible for ones seeking a serene and very peaceful environment. However, if you are not good with higher altitudes then this may not be the best option. I am usually good with higher altitudes however my gal pal and I got pretty sick at the end of the trip which was not much fun!

 We stayed in the Crescent Room suite which was amazing. There was three of us and we lived large and comfortably in this little charming bungalow. We were able to check out other rooms and suites and they all looked lovely and very clean.

The Crescent Room has one queen size bedroom with a great room with a fireplace that has a large futon like bed that sleeps two or maybe three. Both beds were very comfortable. 

Lots of sunlight, heated tile bathroom floors and toilet seats! We stayed in Feb when it was very cold and there was snow on the ground so our toes and tushies were pretty toasty. Large flat screen, dvd player etc. No pay per view movies here.

Very clean and the room had all the amenities needed. A fully loaded kitchen with soy/rice milk, fruit and fresh granola delivered daily to your room. A selection of organic teas too. 

 The grounds were beautiful and you can easily get lost exploring. However, it is pretty dark in the evening if you are traveling up to the spa lodge so best bring a flashlight or something.  They don't have lights on the stairs leading you up the path which I hope changes soon. My biggest complaint here. 

The spa treatments were great and the public hot tubs are clothing optional so if you are modest then this may not be for you. We rented private hot tubs outside which were amazing. You can rent them hourly. They are partially enclosed but you have full privacy. It is only enclosed around the three sides of the tub/deck. The back of the deck is the view of the mountains and forest etc. Pretty amazing especially when there is snow on the ground.

There is not a restaurant on site and you need go into town to dine. But in the lodge where the spa is there is a shop and a little area where you can buy edemame, fruit, healthy snacks and refreshments. The little town of Santa Fe has many great places to eat and cute local artist galleries. 

This is very quiet, very private and relaxing and would rec it to anyone in much need for this and/or seeking a romantic getaway.
