The staff was the friendliest group of people I have ever met, maybe a little too friendly. Any time we walked through the entrance on our way in or out, we would be stopped and talked to for at least 10 minutes, which is very nice and homey but can get a tad annoying sometimes when its obvious you are carrying two cases of water and just want to go to the room to put them down.

There is ample off street parking for a moderate daily fee during your stay, and guests also can use the facilities over at the Marriott (pool, spa, gym) with a pass you get at the front desk.

A nice breakfast was served daily in the breakfast room, however on their website they speak about afternoon tea and snacks which we never saw during our week long stay.

The rooms themselves were nice and cozy, comfortable beds, nice shower and bathroom. Although cozy, the rooms were quite spacious as well. There is also free wi-fi access in the hotel which served my research needs throughout the week to find places to eat and shop. A TV is not present in the rooms however, it would be nice if there was one, but we learned to live without it for the week.

All in all, I would say it was a great experience and would stay here again next time in Newport.
