Four Points by Sheraton (Cumberland
House) -- If you have to stay near UT
Modern, Business People
July 11 2007: Across the street from the 1983 Knoxville World's Fair's legendary Sun Sphere (great Simpsons episode), this newly renovated (2005/6) business hotel is a very comfortable place to stay in Knoxville. Location is good for UT, but a little distant from downtown or other restaurants.
Rooms were large and comfortable, but fairly standard. Nothing controversial or floral in the decor; five years ago this would have been a really big deal, but now it's just expected. Nevertheless, I'll be staying again when in Knoxville.
