This is the first review written about this hotelJuly 13 2008: Stein Lodge- Deer Valley is nestled perfectly under the Rocky Mountains. I have been to Park City a few times and my visits have always been in the winter to snowboard and my group usually rents the same condo - I have been wanting to visit Park City in the Spring/Summer months for a long time. Wow!

If you are a nature lover and seek a serene, peaceful surrounding then this a place you must experience. Deer Valley is incredible - period. This is a beautiful cozy lodge with the most spectacular views. My room was a deluxe with a king bed w/ a fireplace and it was impeccably clean and bright. Beautifully decorated, cozy with plush linens - jacuzzi tub and fresh flowers. It was perfect. Painless and effortless check in & out - attentive bellmen and they were very helpful with suggestions for things to do etc.

Close to Main Street and Old Town Park City, home to many cute shops, galleries and great restaurants & cafes. Like I mentioned, I have been here in the winter months and during Sundance when it is crazy and packed so I really enjoyed my leisurely strolls in town - I found some really great shops and tried a few restaurants I always wanted to try but could never get into during the winter months. A pretty good nightlife, too. The resort is beautiful and I wanted to explore every nook and cranny of it and its surroundings. I don't like gyms but I took a few spins on one of the cycles - very clean and large fitness center. There are many fun outdoor activities to indulge in the summer season. An abundance of hiking and mountain biking trails where you can be chair lifted to the top of mountain to explore and get lost. Wildlife, wildflowers in full bloom and incredible views. On one of our hikes, the lodge created us a gourmet picnic ( added charge)- which was really great and healthy. I indulged in some fly-fishing and took a scenic road trip. There is so much to do here and the staff is wonderful. The resort has everything you need. I really enjoyed lounging in the lobby which has a massive fireplace with a chill seating area. I loved the spa, though did not indulge in any treatments - only did a steam and plunged in the pool a few times. The spa menu looked wonderful and priced well. The pool was clean and not crowded. I did not really dine much here b/c we went into town for most meals but the room service food was pretty darn tasty. My visit was spontaneous and brief and I really look forward to going back next summer or in the winter months. I highly rec this hotel for everyone - there is fun to be enjoyed by all here and a very helpful, friendly staff to accommodate your every request. Next time, I want to brave a hot air balloon ride or some rafting - ha!
