My wife and I travel the globe and enjoy destinations and accomadations ranging from the simplest bungalow to the swankiest, posh place we can find. We particularly enjoy cuisine, especially local and organic fare. Eco and low impact travel destinations are high on our list.
September 20 2007: The Cavalier is a great place to stay in the summer if you want a weekend at the beach. My wife and I have been here multiple times. It is located toward the end of the strand so it doesn't get as crowded as some of the other hotels. The rooms are very spacious and extremely affordable. There is a pretty good Sunday Brunch, but we've never eaten dinner there. The lunch menu is so-so and there is an ice cream stand on the beach. There is also a pool down by the beach. During the summer you do have to book in advance since they will fill up. Make sure to bring your own umbrellas and chairs. You can rent them from the hotel but they are very over-priced.
Date of stay: August 2007
Purpose of stay: Leisure (With Partner)
