Love to travel and explore new places. My favorite are tropical or warm weather destinations (hate the cold). Also love to go where the locals go and find hidden treasures. Love finding great restaurants, New York City and broadway shows.
June 26 2008: I love St. John. It's really one of my all time favorite travel destinations. Beautiful beaches, mountains, great off site local restaurants--the island itself has an unique island personality. The Westin was lovely. Very clean--usual amenities, nice pool and beach. The only drawback to the beach was that it was an area where the cruise ships docked--so the beach lost it's privacy. Service was great--beautifully manicured grounds. Would recommend this resort.

Location. Positioned along Great Cruz Bay, The Westin St. John Resort and Villas is located on St. John Island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Trunk Bay's snorkeling trail is less than five miles from the property. Hotel Features. Chloe & Bernard's offers fine dining ambience enhanced by a marble staircase, white muslin drapes and rattan armchairs. The Beach Café & Bar offers weekend Caribbean buffets with live music, whereas Snorkels Bar & Grill offers bar service from mid morning until the last patron departs into the night. The resort's 1,200 foot beach borders Great Cruz Bay where lounge chairs and umbrellas provide comfort and shade. Pyramid shaped "iceberg" slides, trampoline rafts, and swimming rafts are anchored off the beach. The main pool complex includes an outdoor pool with a separate children's section, a volleyball net, a waterfall, garden islands and two spa tubs. Terraced into the hillside villa section, are two outdoor pools with waterfalls. The resort supplies complimentary kayaks, water tricycles and bicycles, pedal boats and small sailboats. A recreation center rents water sport's gear and offers parasailing. Use of six lighted tennis courts is complimentary. The complimentary fitness center includes a room for aerobics, Pilates, and yoga classes.
Guestrooms. This resort offers 282 guestrooms in 13 two and three story buildings with access via stairways only. The resort features 60 studio, one , two , and three bedroom villas in eight two story buildings. Accommodations feature pillowtop mattresses, all white bedding, triple sheeting and multiple pillows. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations with massage showerheads, oversized bath sheets and bathrobes. Complimentary high speed Internet access is available in all accommodations.
Expert Tip. Experienced divers can snorkel at Waterlemon Cay on the north shore. Reaching the site from their parking lot requires a one mile hike on loose rocks, so shoes or hiking sandals are recommended. Resort Fees: Resort fees are determined by the hotel and are subject to change.
