June 20 2007: Well - I've stayed in plenty of hotels in Italy, and so far this place absolutely takes the cake. It's cozy, well located, beautifully decorated, and has a fantastic atmosphere. Each room has a little very well maintained and clean kitchenette, a dining table, and a complimentary bottle of local wine upon your arrival!

The hotel is right in the centre of historic Trieste, and is less than a minute's walk from the main piazza and the waterfront. The staff are courteous and friendly and the breakfast is top notch (Illy coffee all the way!).

The only potential downside is that the road outside is a touch busy earlier in the evening, but so long as you don't go to bed at 9pm, you won't have any trouble whatsoever!
